A community united by heritage, strengthened by purpose, and committed to empowering every woman
Efik Women Association USA Inc. (EWA) is a philanthropic, charitable nonprofit organization—not a cultural entity—established under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and registered in the District of Columbia.
We are problem-focused, issue-driven, and advocacy-oriented, engaging in humanitarian, educational, and community-centered initiatives that uplift women, youth, and children in the Efik homeland and throughout the United States diaspora. We infuse cultural components to showcase our roots and cultural leanings, honoring the heritage that grounds our work.
As a women-led platform, EWA is committed to advancing dignity, justice, opportunity, and safety for vulnerable and underserved populations.
We operate with transparency, accountability, and a deep respect for Efik heritage, values, and community responsibility.

Our work is guided by deep commitment to our community and unwavering belief in every woman's potential
We believe every woman deserves a safe space where she can be heard, supported, and empowered without judgment. Our community provides that sanctuary.
Our Efik heritage is a source of strength and identity. We celebrate our traditions, language, and customs while embracing our place in the modern world.
When one woman rises, we all rise. Through mentorship, education, and advocacy, we create pathways for every member to reach her full potential.
Dedicated women leading with vision, integrity, and commitment to our community
Our leadership team brings decades of combined experience in nonprofit management, social work, business, education, and community advocacy. Together, we ensure that every decision reflects our values and serves our members' best interests.
We serve women of Efik heritage living across the United States—from recent immigrants finding their footing in a new country to second and third-generation Americans maintaining connections to their roots.
Our members include students, professionals, entrepreneurs, mothers, grandmothers, and young women just beginning their journeys. What unites us is our shared heritage and commitment to supporting one another.
We welcome all women of Efik descent, regardless of where they are in life, what challenges they face, or what dreams they pursue. In our community, every woman has a place, a voice, and a support system.
Whether you're seeking support, looking to give back, or simply want to connect with other women who share your heritage, there's a place for you in our community.
