Membership in EWA is open to women over the age of 18 who meet one or more of the following criteria:

Membership Criteria

At least one biological or adoptive parent or grandparent is of Efik heritage

Married to or previously married to an Efik person

Born in the Greater Calabar area or long-term resident

Identifies with Efik culture, language, and customs

Pledges to uphold the values, tradition, and dignity of EWA

Agrees to abide by EWA's Constitution and Bylaws
